Prof. Dr. Dominik Pietzcker teaches PR and Communication’s Management at our Hamburg and Berlin campuses.

Prof. Dr. Pietzcker is a creative director and communications consultant. He has worked in the communications business for over 15 years and has been in senior management since 2000 – working for network agencies such as Young & Rubicam, Publicis and Media Consulta. He has worked as a creative director for well-known companies and institutional clients in Germany and abroad, including the European Commission, the German Federal Press Office, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Ministry as well as the economic and tourism ministries of Malta and Bulgaria. He was responsible for communication and design projects in Belgium, Sweden, Eastern Europe, Portugal and Malta. He is also the holder of several national and international creative awards.

From 2006 to 2011 he lectured in intercultural communication at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Topics included the historical transformation of communication processes, intercultural differences between Western Europe and Asia as well as the conflict between communication and truth. He was also a guest speaker at the universities of Dresden and Vienna. Prof. Dr. Pietzcker studied Philosophy, History and Comparative Literature in Freiburg, Dublin and Vienna, and obtained his PhD in 1996. In addition to his professional work, he has written books on writing for advertising and written communication. He has dual Swiss and German nationality.
