In cooperation with SWPS University in Poland, Macromedia University offers a two-year double degree Master’s programme. Students spend their first year at the renowned SWPS University and the second year at Macromedia University in Germany.

Our societies have undergone unprecedented changes in the last few decades due to the rise of new media technologies. Media usage today is highly dynamic, multi-faceted and emotional. In addition to theoretical knowledge, tangible practical skills, strong project management know-how and scientific problem-solving skills have become indispensable. These are the competencies the cooperation aims to provide to our graduates.

How does the cooperation work?

Riva Lewis

Marketing Specialist, BMW Sales Germany, BMW AG

The practice projects we carried out during my studies were good preparation for my current role. We worked on different assignments for a number of different companies. Special courses like preparation for job interviews and "women in leadership" were really helpful for getting me through the assessment center at BMW.
Working for MPG, a large media-planning agency in New York, during my internship was an experience of a lifetime.
Noel Nuez Ortin

Sales Manager, Twitter Latin America

I'm currently coordinating the Twitter sales team in Latin America. As advertising represents the majority of Twitter’s revenue, I feel that I am an important gear in the business. Studying at Macromedia and specifically in Munich was a challenging experience that taught me to demand more of myself. It was a combination of three factors: inspiring professors, proximity to the start-up ecosystems, and my talented classmates.
Mafalda Sandrini

PhD-Student and Research Assistant, FU Berlin / Macromedia University

I´m currently a Research Assistant for the Graduate School at Macromedia University; meanwhile, I´m writing my PhD at the Freie University under the department of Organizational Communication and PR. As a former Macromedia student, this role represented a challenge for me and I felt that the next big chapter of my life was starting. My main responsibilities involve bridging the communication between the students and professors. I have also taught Theories of Communication in the first semester and Foundation of Scientific Methods in the pre-semester.
Christin Bachofer

Account Manager, Microsoft Deutschland GmbH

I always knew that in my future job I want to have customer contact and work in a group. Whether that would be in a sales or marketing role, I was not yet clear. The practice-oriented content and corporate projects at Macromedia have taught me well in the course of studies, what comes to me in the workplace.

At Microsoft, it is great fun to bring the topics of Big Data, the Internet of Things, Predictive Maintenance etc. to German upper midsize market target groups and be a part of this change.
