ERASMUS+ is the European Union's programme for education, youth and sports. ERASMUS+ combines the previous EU programmes for life-long learning, youth and sports as well as the European cooperation programmes in the field of higher institution. The programme is characterized by three guidelines: Learning mobility from single persons, cooperation for enhancing innovation and exchange of proven processes and support of political reforms.
ERASMUS+ should improve competencies and employability as well as foster the modernization of systems for general and professional education. Information about ERASMUS+ can be found on the European Commission’s Website.
Besides the development of social and cultural skills amongst the scholarship holders, ERASMUS+ contributes to the university’s internationalisation. The mobility support is distributed by the National Agencies. In Germany this obligation is fulfilled by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
In order to participate in the ERASMUS+ programme a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is necessary.
The ERASMUS+Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) was assigned by the EU commission and proves that Macromedia meets all requirements for a successful participation at the ERASMUS+ programme.
ERASMUS+ enables students from Freiburg campus to go abroad and spend a semester at one of our ERASMUS+ partner institutions. The participation has a lot of benefits:
Students‘ rights and duties within the ERASMUS+ programme are recorded in the ERASMUS+ Student Charta.
The scholarship is available to B.A. students from Freiburg campus having completed their first study year and planning a study stay at a partner institution Macromedia university has an ERASMUS+ cooperation agreement with. PLEASE NOTE: During the semester abroad tuition fees still have to be paid to your home institution and double funding by the EU or the DAAD is not allowed, i.e. you cannot receive an ERASMUS+ scholarship and an EU or a DAAD scholarship at the same time.
The application deadlines depend on the partner institution and the semester chosen and are published in the community. For music students a stay abroad only in winter term is advisable.
