At the end it simply was "Ganz großes Kino": The documentary „
For in my way it lies“, produced by the Macromedia Alumnus
Lukas von Stein, became part of the exklusive Dok.fest-premieres on the same name. The first screening of the film took place on September 5th 2018, in the "Deutsche Theater" in Munich.
It all started with the desire of Lukas von Stein to combine his passion for music with his professional know-how and expertise as a camera student.
Turning point came when he met the Blues musician
Jesper Munk, who agreed to let the student accompany him with his camera, while he was working on his new album. On stage, in the studio but also on private occasions and during his travels ... all for the documentary. It became clear pretty early, that this movie was going to go well beyond a final thesis, which also meant that it would only be finished after his graduation.
Producer and cameraman
Lukas von Stein and his Macromedia fellow
Marcel Morast, the sound man and co-producer, joined the young musician for 18 months and collected 90 hours of raw material. From this basis, Lukas von Stein and his editor
Jaromin Pfeiffer (also Macromedia) condensed a 105-minute, incredibly intense, personal and powerful artist portrait.
Not only the festival director
Daniel Sponsel, who selected the film for the big screens of Deutsche Theater, but also various film critics are convinced, that the film is “A absolute must-see”. Please click here to see the critic in
