Within the framework of the „From Expat to Wahlberliner. International writers in Berlin“ series sponsored by the Berlin Senate, it was the task of the Macromedia students to portray the Literary Salon Britta Gansebohm.

The creative, dense contribution is meant to interest potential new guests for the salon and also to remind us of the beginnings of the oldest public salon in Berlin. Britta Gansebohm founded the salon in 1995 in Berlin and was celebrated in countless national and international media for the reactivation of the old Berlin salon culture. Today the salon is a popular place for literature, music and politics. The last reading of the Turkish-German journalist Deniz Yücsel, whose detention in Turkey is currently a major political issue (as of March 2017), was planned and agreed in her salon.

The students Julie Zemanek from Germany and Veronika Gajer from the USA produced the film "A Story of Voices" within the study programme Media and Communication Management (M.A.). They were responsible for the complete production including concept and storyboard, casting of actors and speakers, camera management, editing and sound.

Prof. Dr. Gernot Wolfram accompanied the project as consultant and supervisor:

"The students intended to arouse curiosity for the salon and the 'Spirit of Storytelling'. In cooperation with international artists, artists and authors, they have achieved a special approach here. "
