VALIGERIA RONCATO S.p.A.: Italian Luggage International Marketing Strategies  & Branding
This project, under the direct supervision and advisement of Munich Head of Faculty, Professor Dr. Mohamed Badr, with the aid of lecturers Theo Grassl and Anke Johannssen, gave Macromedia students the opportunity to work with a company on an international scale practicing
  • market analytics,
  • consumer behavior,
  • strategy creation (particularly for brand awareness and recognition),
  • presentation/communication skills.

Students were tasked with the development of international communication strategies for the Italian luggage brand Valigeria Roncato S.p.A.:
  • 14 teams worked on a variety of communication channels through different country-specific branding & marketing analytics and strategy creation and implementation;
  • 4 teams focused on online approaches, 6 teams worked on the DACH region;
  • the remaining 4 teams from the international media management program focused on: Italy, USA, Asian promising markets, & the Netherlands.

Valigeria Roncato S.p.A. was so thrilled with the student’s work, some of the strategies are already being set into motion.

Special Requirement: Students prepare presentation for Chinese distributors

5th semester students, Annamaria Pollio, AnnKatrin Krieger, and Roslyn Hall worked on distributor relations and brand awareness strategies for promising Asian markets China & South Korea. Valigeria Roncato S.p.A. has already asked these students to prepare a separate presentation to be given to Roncato’s Chinese distributors to start the implementation and facilitation of the presented strategies. Additionally students presented topics on sustainability, data analytics, and digital transformation.

To be continued: Macromedia and Valigeria Roncato S.p.A. extend cooperation

Due to the success of phase one, Valigeria Roncato S.p.A. has decided to continue to work with Macromedia on our Munich and Berlin campus this coming year with the launch of new products within the DACH region. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Badr will head the project in tandem with Prof. Dr. Brigitte Kleinselbeck who is Berlin’s head of Macromedia Business Faculty.
