Caritas & KinderHelden: Platform for computer donations & homework sponsors
Corona-Lockdown means: Homeschooling for school children in Germany - from first graders to high school graduates. Without computers, this is not possible. But not all families have the necessary hardware.

This is why management students Melanie Schulz, Nikoleta Ikonomidou, Melisa Budak and Franziska Joggerst have launched the "Students for Kids against Corona" platform at the Stuttgart campus. The heart of the project is a website. Companies that want to donate used, functional hardware can register there. Recipients are families in which no computer is available to let the children participate in the current online offers of the schools. In addition, learning mentors who support the children in their tasks are placed on the platform. This support is to be taken over as far as possible by fellow students of the Macromedia University.

Bechtle IT system house, KinderHelden and Caritas: Committed supporters of the Macromedia project

Macromedia students are supported in the distribution of used hardware by social organizations. In the Stuttgart area, Caritas, the social enterprise Neue Arbeit, KinderHelden and Mobile Jugend Arbeit Stuttgart have already joined their initiative. And an IT expert is also on board: employees of the Bechtle IT system house in Stuttgart ensure that the donated computers are fit and functional.

All information is available on the website - by the way, in addition to the contact for donations in kind, there is also a link to a crowdfunding platform where money can be made: "Students for Kids against Corona".
