Train medical professionals via Virtual Reality: Macromedia Alumnus successful with VIREED

Learn medical interventions, simulate emergency situations and train contactlessly: This is what the virtual reality learning products from VIREED MED accomplish. Together with the University Hospital Eppendorf, Macromedia graduate and VIREED founder Nick Wiese and his partner Arne Urff have been developing corresponding training scenarios since 2017. The potential of the technology is particularly evident in the corona crisis.

Virtual Reality enables immersive learning. This means that a user perceives a virtual environment as real and interacts with it. The result is that the user learns through his own experience - and therefore significantly more successful.

The company VIREED uses this great didactic potential of VR technology for medical training. Concrete learning scenarios are already available for "Basic Life Support", "Cardiac massage" and "Advanved Life Support (in development)". One of the two founders is Macromedia graduate Nick Wiese: "Independent of the corona crisis, we need more than 100,000 additional nurses and doctors in Germany. By 2035, we will even need more than 300,000. With our Virtual Reality solution VIREED MED, we want to revolutionize education!"
