Design Management Institute: Macromedia supports the dmi:Symposium

On March 11, the renowned Design Management Institute (DMI) will host a Symposium “45 Years of Impact by Design: Connecting and Creating Value“ in Munich’s BMW Welt. Prof. Oliver Szasz from Macromedia University was involved in getting the fast-paced, immersive one-day conference to Munich. The Symposium appeals to a broad community of Design and Innovation professionals worldwide, as well as anyone who would like to learn how Design adds value to organizations of any size. With its advanced study-programmes in Design Thinking, Macromedia University is proud to act as a partner to the dmi:Symposium.

The dmi:Symposium on March 11 takes place at the distinctive BMW Welt Business Center. It is hosted in partnership with bayern design, The Bavarian State Ministry, and Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW). The Symposium theme is “Connecting and Creating Value”. Short Keynote Sessions and small group Breakout Sessions will focus on new ways that Design connects to humanize technology, simplify complexity, and drive innovation to add value in large organizations, small and medium enterprises (SME), startups, and the public sector.

Macromedia-Professor Szasz: Key-contact in Munich for Design Management Institute

One of the drivers behind the conference is Oliver Szasz, professor for Design at Macromedia University. Ever since the first dmi:Symposium was held in Munich 2017, he kept close ties to the renowned institution. Within the upcoming conference Prof. Szasz will hold a Breakout session on “Reframing Perspective: From Problem-Thinking to Opportunity-Thinking”. He also organized two exclusive, complimentary tours at the headquarters of Airbus or Steelcase, giving attendees the chance to learn how these global organizations use Design methods to manage the Innovation processes.

Macromedia University itself has a focus on Design Thinking as a method for driving Innovation and creating value in various business.
