Huge success at the SXSW Accelerator Pitch: Macromedia-Alumni make it to the final round

With their start-up “eyecandylab” Macromedia graduates Robin Sho Moser and Tom Orzikowski managed to reach the final round of the legendary SXSW Accelerator Pitch in Austin, Texas. Using Augmented Reality and second screens their product unfolds new ways of interaction and information for the TV-audience.

According to Robin Sho Moser the SXSW Accelerator Pitches is known to be the “Holy Grail” for start-ups. Regarding its high significance in the worldwide start-up scene, the Macromedia alumni feel more than blessed about their achievement. As the only German team they made it to the final round of the 50 best-voted teams.

“During the two-day SXSW Accelerator pitch, there are tons of exciting opportunities to meet with entertainment experts, investors and strategic partners from all over the world. That is extraordinary”, Moser states in an interview with the Chief Programming Officer of SXSW, Hugh Forrest. New ways to interact via videos

Robin Sho Moser and Tom Orzikowski are the two founders of the start-up eyecandylab GmbH. Both finished their Bachelors degree in Brand communication and advertising (B.A.) at Macromedia University.  After a short but successful time as founders of the Online Marketing Agency “open the door and cheesecake” the media managers started to pursue the development of AR and VR technologies. „ is nothing but the revolution in television“, that’s what is stated on the company’s website. Carrier medium for the interaction are second screen devices like smartphones or tablets. „Simply hold your smartphone or tablet in front of your screen – and experience a whole new world with seamless integrated Augmented Reality content. Have you ever dreamt about your favorite character jumping out of the TV?“
