Film-Business = Festival-Business: Macromedia-Students visit the Berlinale

The past February film students from Campus Munich got the exciting chance to visit the Berlinale in Berlin. The trip was lead by Directing-Professor Mathias Allary, who is convinced that there’s no better way to get to know the film business.

Art and commercialization, networking and marketing - as one out of the top three film festivals worldwide, the Berlinale represents all of these things.

There’s no doubt about the festival being the best place for film students to experience the magic, professionalism and dynamic of the industry. As a Macromedia Directing-professor Mathias Allary has been escorting first semester students to the film festival at Potsdamer Platz for years.

This year’s agenda contained various highlights – for example: a visit to the reception of FFF, a visit to the reception of the "Filmanwälte" and the international co-production-Meeting JETS. Furthermore a tour through the international film market in the Martin Gropius building and a whole lot of film presentations.

Now the only remaining question is: in what kind of professional roles will the Macromedia students return to the Berlinale during the course of their professional lives? #youchange
