#youchange: Macromedia celebrates graduates

Macromedia festively handed out the academic degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts to 233 graduates. #youchange

Pride, a little bit of melancholy and great euphoria regarding the career start that lies ahead: November has been a month of goodbyes at Macromedia University. In the course of festive ceremonies professors of the private University handed out degree certificates to 233 Bachelor and Master students, who have successfully completed their studies at the end of the summer semester. The first master students to ever graduate from campus Hamburg, Cologne and Stuttgart, were also among the total sum of 121 master graduates. The campuses in Hamburg, Cologne and Stuttgart have only been offering the German Master program since spring 2016.

Creating memories: Festive moments, festive scopes

As most of the Bachelor students of Macromedia are usually completing their studies in the winter semesters, the proportion of Bachelor students in the number of graduates was rather low. Nevertheless that didn’t have any negative impact on the celebration atmosphere – considering the extravagant location chosen for the ceremony, it rather seemed like quite the contrary: Munich graduates celebrated in the Künstlerhaus at Lenbachplatz, while campus Stuttgart celebrated their alumni in the grand Kursaal in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt. Students from Cologne received their degrees in the Theaterhaus Cologne, Hamburg chose the magical winter garden of their own campus and Berlin celebrated at the Bristol Hotel Kempinski with the mainly international graduates.

Retrospective and outlook: External Keynote-Speakers give impulses

Usually the program of the Absolvia is defined by personal look backs as well as outlooks in regards to current media and development in the business world.

The university would like to thank journalist and foreign correspondant Johannes von Dohnanyi (campus Hamburg), SPD - member of  landtag and  media policy spokesperson Sascha Binder (campus Stuttgart) and management consultant Philipp Fleischmann from Kienbaum Consultants International (campus Berlin) for their speeches at the latest Absolvia celebrations.

Furthermore we want to thank our graduates for intensive semesters defined by intensive work, inspiration and collective development. #youchange
