Absolvia 2017: Macromedia Berlin celebrates international alumni class

With a fulminant event, the campus Berlin has said goodbye to the graduates of the winter term 2017 at the Bristol Hotel Kempinski. Alongside the members of the second international master class, four bachelor students could celebrate the successful completion of their studies.

Over the course of two years, the students of the international master class Media and Communication Management studied together – now they got rewarded for their commitment: on the 25th of November, 25 participants got their master’s certificate from their professors at the Bristol Hotel Kempinski. They were accompanied by four bachelor students from the programs Media and Communication Management and Media Design. “We will miss your immense thirst for knowledge, your ambition and your creativity”, explained master coordinator Prof Dr. Gernot Wolfram in his farewell speech.

Canadian student Paula El-Khoury, valedictorian and speaker of the class, reinforced as well: “We surely enjoyed our time at macromedia and even though it was not always easy, we learned a big deal for our professional future – and we found friends for life.” The bond that the students established during their time at Macromedia Berlin shall be continued from now on: the alumni organization helps the graduates to regularly meet, exchange their professional and private experiences and to strengthen professional ties. “I hope to see you all again soon – let us hear from you”, said academic head Prof. Dr. Astrid Friese wistfully at the end of the evening. The Absolvia was a goodbye and a new beginning all at once: Many graduates have already taken up jobs and are currently doing the first steps in their careers. We wish the class of 2017 all the best for their future!
