Academic degree

On successful completion of the required examinations, the graduates of Macromedia receive the academic degree of “Bachelor of Arts” or “Master of Arts” from the Bavarian Macromedia University of Applied Sciences. The accreditation of all courses ensures the quality of the academic education and their recognition.

The new degrees are modelled on the American and British higher education system, which is recognised worldwide.

The introduction of the new course structure across the whole of the EU was signed in at the Bologna Conference on 19 June 1999. Ministers from 30 European states set out a time frame to create a standardised European Higher Education Area by 2010 with convergent systems and mutually recognised degrees. The new system is now in place across the board. This means that universities throughout Europe and the world are more comparable* for students and it makes it easier for graduates to work abroad.

HR personnel now rate the new degrees considerably higher than a corresponding “Diplom” qualification in terms of practical and international applicability.
