The Münchner Kammerspiele, a prominent local theater faced with an aging audience and a decline in young theatergoers, tasked the second semester Media and Design master students to create research and insights into the client demographic of students to young professionals.

To understand the reasons why users in the age range of 18-35 years old were declining, the students took a Human-Centered Design approach to this task. Human-Centered Design involves working closely with the actual users to better understand their mentality, thought-processes, and general behaviors. Through extensive user interviews, field research, and ideation the team was able to synthesize their findings to better help the theater address this age demographic.
