1. Scope
This privacy statement applies to the Internet offer of Macromedia GmbH (Macromedia University). It does not apply to the Internet offers of other service providers to which a link is merely referred.

2. Access to our internet pages and files
Every time a user accesses a page from our Internet offer and every time a file is retrieved, data about this process are stored and processed automatically in a log file on our Web server. In detail, the following data are stored via each access / retrieval:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • Date and time of the request,
  • called page / name of the retrieved file,
  • transferred data volume,
  • Notification of whether the access / retrieval was successful,
  • Internet address from which the page or file was retrieved or the desired function was initiated,
  • Web browser used

The aforementioned data including the IP address are stored for the duration of the communication process to enable the use of our Internet offer. In addition, the IP address is stored for a short period of time to ensure IT security, in particular to protect our IT systems against misuse and to prevent attacks.

The collected data are also evaluated for statistical purposes and to improve our Internet offer by means of Google Analytics.
 
3. Cookies
Cookies are used in our website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored by the web server in the memory or on the hard disk of the user's computer. Cookies contain a unique identification number, information about the origin and the retention period. In addition to so-called session cookies, which are generated again at each session and are immediately deleted after the end of the visit, permanent cookies are also used in order to be able to recognize visitors of the internet offer after a long period of time. 4. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in the case of the activation of the IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within the European Union or in other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Your web and app browsing history will be associated with your Google Account by Google, and information from your Google Account will be used to personalize ads that you see on the web.
Google will use data from its signed-in users together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. In order to support this feature, Google Analytics will collect Google-authenticated identifiers from users. These identifiers will be temporarily linked to Google Analytics to form audience groups.
 
You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would point out that in this case you may not be able to fully utilize all the functions of this website. 5. Facebook Social Plugin
Our website uses social plugins of the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are visible on one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile or a "thumb up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". 6. Mouseflow
This site uses the Mouseflow software service. It is a service that allows an analysis of the user's personal use of the website. An evaluation of the length of stay on individual bases as well as the user behavior is made by means of the movements of the cursor. This can also be stored and evaluated under the use of cookies in connection with previously accessed source pages. The information obtained from this is stored and analyzed anonymously without the consent of the user. We use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to offer improved services related to web usage and Internet usage.
