Austrian top manager Prof. Dr. Bettina Gneisz on the future of crisis communication


Finance communication, brand image, repositioning, German PR Award, SABRE, Effie - communication expert Prof. Dr. Bettina Gneisz from FHWien der WKW discussed the challenges of successful finance and crisis communication with master students from Macromedia University Campus Berlin.


Prof. Dr. Bettina Gneisz, as manager and lecturer a popular speaker on questions about crisis communication in corporations, talked about the future of crisis communication within the context of globalization at campus Berlin. With many examples and cases, she fascinated students with her knowledge and capacity to explain complex processes in an easy way. 

Bettina Gneisz has 20 years of experience in national and international management functions in the finance and telecommunication sector. As Senior Vice President at OMV AG, Austrian’s largest listed company, she had been responsible for corporate communication and public affairs for ten years. She has received numerous awards and distinctions for brand repositioning, internal and crisis communication. 2011, she was appointed as director at FHWien der WKW where she established the Center of Corporate Communication & Business Ethics, developed the Executive Program and promoted international networking. The renowned expert for M&A and finance communication studied in Austria and the USA with excellence. Besides her professorship, she has been working as consultant for normative PR, investor relations and public affairs. 

Students were able to discuss all their questions in relation to their course in 'Global Trends and Foresights'.
