On (nearly) all channels: Macromedia Students produce

From the 3rd to the 14th of May students of Macromedia University produce the 2017. In addition to the supervision of the official video blog for the International Documentary Film Festival Munich, the film students also take care of Instagram and Snapchat for the first time. Head of the 2017 is Dr. Holger Faby, film producer and Macromedia lecturer at Campus Munich.

The DOK.fest Munich is one of the largest documentary film festivals in Europe. 157 artistic documentaries from 45 countries will be shown there. This year Macromedia University is partnering with DOK.fest for the fifth time. 29 video bloggers from the film and television program (4th semester) extend the festival online via - and for the first time also on social media.

Filmtips, behind the scenes und live events: contributions for five different areas

Five teams of Macromedia students, led by filmmaker Dr. Holger Faby ( will produce videos, photo galleries, live streams and snaps. Their contributions are divided into the categories "DOK.tipps", "DOK.questions_and_answers", "", "DOK.behind_the_scences" and "DOK.instagram".

The first film tip is dedicated to the film DREAM EMPIRE from China, which will open the festival on Wednesday evening at Deutsches Theater. View Now:

More Macromedia protagonists at DOK.fest

Macromedia graduate Sara Laalou is also looking forward to the DOK.fest: her graduation film "I AM NOT PERFECT" (director and production: Sara Laalou, camera: Lena Schreyer) will be shown during the film academy program and competes for the Student Award.
Macromedia camera professor Michael Leuthner will operate as a DOK.fest jury member, he is one of the jurors that award the ARRI AMIRA AWARD, which honours outstanding documentary camera work.
